Junior Primary / Foundation Phase Schooling
We offer intervention & remedial tutoring for Grade R, 1, 2 & 3 learners for any learner with development backlogs in, e.g. language, reading, motor skills, attention and/or behavior for age group up to 11 years.
Our approach is aimed at medium to high levels of support, with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of focussed intervention in all developmental areas. After this period of intervention, most learners will be able to return to mainstream schooling. The learner support includes low teacher to learner ratios (1:5), individual attention, adapted National Curriculum, remedial teaching by experienced teachers and speech & language therapy.
The Junior Primary set-up allows for learners with barriers to learning and is not limited to children with ASD. The material, work level and pace are adapted to suit the individual needs of learners. Differentiation and bridging grades are available, with a hands-on focus on behavioural management and sensory regulation strategies.
